Krishna Davenport is a Director of Analytics and Customer Success at one of the largest Fintech companies in New York. She received her B.S from Hollins in 1996 where she was an active member of the Black Student Alliance. After leaving Hollins, Krishna went on to work at the NYSE for a short period before committing to the trading desk at Morgan Stanley. Krishna is an activist and advocate for equal treatment for Black Mothers and recently launched a project titled “Black Motherhood in Times of Quarantine” to showcase the stories of Black mothers that are often left out of the narrative. She has been working within the anti-racism space for 8 years and has been instrumental in organizing many of the NY rallies associated with the Black Lives Matter Movement. While her days at Dance Theater of Harlem are long gone, she still enjoys dancing, practices yoga daily and is in the process of completing her 200hr Yoga certification. Krishna currently resides in Hempstead Heights, NY with her two boys, 14 and 7 and her husband and high school sweetheart.
