Quiana M. Shamsid-Deen, is an Employee Incident Social Worker for Fulton County Schools. With over 10 years in social work experience, she has developed a voice for compliance, policy and governance. Her passion has led her to support several issues concerning youth development and academia. As a Fulton County School administrator, Quiana provides high level support for principals relating to employee incidents with senior leadership, school administrators and staff. Additionally, she serves as the district liaison for employee incident and child abuse/neglect cases with the Department of Family and Children Services.
Previously, Quiana supported the DeKalb County Juvenile Court system as a Juvenile Program Administrator. During her tenure with DeKalb, Quiana managed, directed and evaluated staff processing employee concerns and problems. Moreover, Quiana provided, hands on support for families and youth through juvenile enrichment and academic programs providing thought leadership and solutions to robust challenges.
As an Adoption Specialist for Chris Kids, Quiana was responsible for delivering family friendly case management services for families that have been approved for adoption and/or foster care. Quiana worked closely with DFACS and community groups to train families and recruit families for foster care needs. Prior to Chris Kids, Quiana was an Investigator for the Georgia Department of Human Services, where she was responsible for investigating, assessing, evaluating, and conducting interviews in order to make determinations on allegations of child abuse and/or neglect.
Quiana is also a social entrepreneur. She is part owner of Supreme Foods Worldwide; Supreme Burger and works closely with her family business to provide social media and digital marketing support. She also provided support to the family non-profit Youth V.I.B.E, Inc we has now transition to a program under the new foundation Supreme Family Foundation, where she serves as Executive Director.
Quiana was a member of the travel cover band Clark Eno Orchestra and Mr. Qwes and the Cool. She has traveled throughout the Tri-State area sharing her gift of voice. She enjoys traveling, reading, blogging, music and loves spending time with close friends and family.
With Jamaican heritage, Quiana originates from Queens, NY and Danbury, CT. She began her collegiate tenure at Florida A&M University and graduated with her Bachelors in Social Work from Western Connecticut State University. She obtained her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Social Work from University of Southern California. Quiana currently resides in Atlanta, GA and is married to Waleed Shamsid-Deen. She is the bonus mother to three amazing children; Na’im, Layla and Siraj and the mother Micah, Aya and the late Nya Shamsid-Deen.
